Want to look at my bookshelf?

Yes, the photo is at an angle.
Yes, it doesn't really show you much.
No, I haven't done much with the shelf yet.
The stuff I don't want you to see (while it's not a mess, it is an eyesore) is right under where the picture ends.
I need to go through that stuff, display it, get rid of it, what have you.
I will, soonish.
I've got other things I need to focus on first.
I have another shelf, to my left, and it has books on it. It's my "night stand."
Eventually everything in this room will be rearranged to my liking. I may eventually move the shelf (pictured) where my bed is.

@AmbiePam Yup, I thought so too. There was another book on the shelf, same author, I think it was a prequel to The Thornbirds. I just got the book you see on the shelf there.
I only have a little over $1.00 left in trade credit at that store. I am going to try to sell a few more things, but then after this, I think I'll be done with the store for awhile.
Which, I guess, is a good thing. I'll try to frequent that other store (I've talked about earlier today) since they were so nice to me.

The book was a recommendation from a fellow mylotter. I got it earlier today.

We don't have a pantry here, atleast not in the same sense as more modern places. This was built in the 70's. We have two cabinets where food and excess kitchen supplies are kept. Under the hutch is where we keep canned goods.
I rearranged the canned goods last year. We don't have much in the two cabinets other than cake mix and extra sugar. Most of the food is kept in the cabinets or counter.
Though I have been meaning to straighten one counter..

I have been getting these for free via using a voucher from things I've sold a thrift store here. I am going to make one last trip there, atleast for awhile.
I plan to fill these shelves up with books that I can read.

The shelf allows me to put two rows deep so there are quite a bit more than you think. Not to mention another shelf that allows me to do the same thing, but on the other side of me.

Yes. Though that may slow down a bit. I got most of these books for free (except for a few that I bought from the other bookstore).
I am thinking of buying a set of LED lights to go around the bookshelf.

@Marilynda1225 I thought so too, and it would add a source of light as well. This bookshelf sits right by my bed. I am going to be rearranging things though, so it may not always be right by my bed.

This bookshelf was something my brother bought many years ago. I have two other bookshelves that I bought when they were on sale on Black Friday. This is a pretty sturdy shelf too, and I like it.
