Although I did not give her much as presents go, she was happy with what I gave her. I bought her some After Eight slim chocolates and a jar of my eggplant pickles ( I told her to return the jar though
)
We talked a lot, specially about what she would do when she grew up. She is legally retired but working here doing what she wants when she wants. Still, coming to my house in the morning, specially in winter, is difficult. So she was planning to quit.
As I know that she will miss the money, I told her that we could get a young person to clean the house once a week. Then I´d pay her to help me cook and put away for the rest of the week. And when she wanted to come to see me, we´d have nice food. I can also invite her out once in a while.
Leticia turned 66 today and she has worked since she was 14. It is time to relax.

Happy birthday to her. I'm sure she has been a huge amount of help to you over the years. I'm glad you're trying to come with a good plan for her future.
