Why do numbers change?

I just discovered that I have one amount at the right upper part of the screen and another where you click "Earnings from discussions". I wonder which is the right one.
I am specially interested because that half cent is the difference between reaching my goal or not

I love to play, I love casinos and I love to bet for half a cent.
Do tell me, what is the real number?

@marguicha Very good, I had a good month, I am pretty sure I will be unable to do as much this month.

The earnings figure shown on the menu bar is the figure shown in the Earnings Summary and, because payments are rounded to the nearest cent when they are calculated, they may well differ by a few hundredths of a cent from what you see in your Earnings from Discussions. It just means that, if you were overpaid or underpaid by a fraction of a cent last time, you haven't gained or lost anything and it will all come out right eventually.

@marguicha It always seems a little odd until you understand and get used to it. I pay so little attention to the figure on the right that I hardly ever notice it now.
