Listening to Mexican rancheras in September. National holidays.

September is the month of Independence for many South American countries. We in Chile have our Independence Day the 18 and México has it 3 days before us, the 15. During those days national folklore music is played in radios and children are taught folk dances which they dance at school prior to the national holidays. In Mexico mariachis sing rancheras during those days. I was once in Ciudad de Mexico during their Independence Day with my best friends. Humberto took us all to an elegant restaurant that was all covered with balloons with the colors of the Mexican flag. And while we drank giant margaritas wonderful mariachis went from table to table singing. Have you been in another country for their National Holiday? I have been in several and they all celebrate in a different way. What do you do in yours.

We were in France for Bastille day and attended a fireworks ceremony. Afterwards there was a big party and dance.

That must have been awesome! France´s National Anthem is, for me, the most beautiful one in the world.

@marguicha Australia badly needs a new anthem. I agree that the French one is awesome.

Interesting... Just learned something New here. I think it would be interesting to be in other countries for some of the National holidays just to see how things are actually celebrated
