In a gym, what do you prefer - cardio or resistance training?

When I go to gym (I try? my best to go to gym at least 2 - 3 times a week), I start with 15 minutes of cardio, follow it up by 40 minutes of resistance training and end with 5 minutes of cardio and stretching. But I try my best to go for brisk walking at least 45 - 60 minutes everyday.

In my gym we do mostly strength training but, the way we do it, it is also cardio. Our heart rates are way up in the cardio zone. It is a much better way to do "cardio". Who the hell wants to be bored out of their minds on a treadmill or elliptical machine for an hour?

Thanks for your advice. What's your take on high intensity interval training?

Wow i admire you for dedicating time to physical workout. I just walk whenever I can. And a little yoga when i'm in the mood.
