It is over 3 years that I did not get my blood parameters testing done. I will be doing it tomorrow We have a Lab that sends their technician over.
He will come around 6 to 6.30 in the morning as I also want my cholesterol profile for which I need to have an empty stomach He says I can drink water
I am going for sugar, cholesterol, hemoglobin and a kidney profile. It is better everything is done at once.
My doctor has no issues if I get it done here. I just read out the results.
Keeping my fingers crossed I have no sugar issues but may have to deal with cholesterol - ready for that.

Whatever be the results I will have to face them and deal with them. I do not expect any bad surprises though

It would be nice if we could get them done at home. We have to go to them for the blood draw. Hope everything comes back great.

That is the advantage of settling down in a semi rural town. We have these facilities. Going on an empty stomach is not what I would be comfortable with if I have to travel

@wolfgirl569 There were plans here too to have portable labs. Nothing has started yet

@allknowing It dont matter here. Unless you are housebound for some reason you go to them. Even then they will sometimes send an ambulance to pick the person up for thinks like x-rays that they now have portable machines for.

It is only when we feel all is not well that we think of that I checked my bp today and saw it is a bit high. Spoke to the doctor and he gave me an extra dose. But I have on my own decided to take that blood test for my own peace.

They are all good. My cholesterol is a bit on the high side but my doctor says not to worry.

I'm happy for you that you are monitoring your health. I'm 39 and soon will be needing this but I'm scared of the painful prick. I have a phobia of it.

Nowadays we do not even get to feel it. If Preiti could get through it I see no reason why you cannot
Poor pet had two blood extracts and 5 antibiotic injections.
