Do you bring your dog in your visit?

Philippines

Last week my brother and his family paid a visit here and brought some noodles. What I didn't expect was that they brought one of their dogs with them. But not because they would give it to us but it was lonely. It was weird but how could a dog be lonely when they have ten dogs over there. Not to mention it was rude enough to bring it to our house and put it in the sofa. We don't allow dogs inside the house and some of them have strong reaction to dogs hair. Well, just ranting for today.

@Letranknight2015 Maybe because she does not want confrontation. But if I were you, I don't mind telling them anyway. They are not the one who will suffer.

That is very rude. We would never take a dog visiting without asking if it was okay.

That is why I didn't talk to them much since they came because of that dog @JudyEv

My ex husband's grandmother would bring her dog to all family visits. It was steal food out of the babies hands, which really made me angry. One Christmas the party was at my house and I told her the dog couldn't come. She never showed up either, which was just fine with me.

I know some people who always bring their dogs wherever they are except for some areas they cannot bring them along. Well, maybe you can tell them next time not to bring it inside your house. They can always leave it at the car

It is rude. They should have at least called you and asked. Not everyone is comfortable with dog in house. And I would never let a dog sit on sofa. Even the pet dog I had years back knew that it is not allowed.

That did sound rude, bringing a dog to visit knowing that the dog would not be welcome inside the house. Hope their visit was a short one.

Hello @YrNemo Maybe I should have said something but honestly, I was expecting the elders to have the say first.
