Diary 26th And 27th September 2018

Diary Wednesday 26th September 2018 A busy voluntary work day, acting as a medical patient to allow students to be taught how to question me to see if they could rightly diagnoze my high blood pressure and offer suitable advice for treatment. The students all did very well. A free lunch was laid on for the students as many are only just starting their courses and I was invited among others to be on hand to welcome the students along, so I got some of the lovely buffet food too. I prepared for my welfare hearing tomorrow and had a lovely phone call from a dear friend in Manchester. Diary Thursday 27th September 2018 My toughest welfare meeting yet as I was transferred onto the new upgraded Universal Credit system, which meant completing (under advisor supervision) and extensive online application form, phoning the same DWP people for an appointment to have my information checked (which, as I had all my paperwork with me, they did there and then), and I recieved a detailed new work commitment and a 16 digit pin number. When logging in I have to add 4-5 randomly chosen digits from this ludicrous code. The DWP claims my money should go through next month (when the process kicks in) on time but many complain of severe delays recieving payments. After my hearing I went to the job club and immediately added all the days activity to my Universal Credit job diary, which my advisor can read and comment on live if s/he chooses. My next hearing is in two weeks time. There was no mention of demands that I buy a new phone at this meeting. Youtube - Offspring - Get A Job Arthur Chappell

Oh gosh that is nerve racking now to know if the payments will be on time. I know what you mean as over here if you change one thing, it gets all upset and out of wack. And nice you had that free lunch too and chatted with your friend from Manchester. Yes bugger them with their new phone demands too.

Glad your voluntary work went well and the students did great. Free food is always nice, I hope it was good food. Hope you get your payment on time next month & that your next hearing goes just as well.

random numbers from a pin? that seems silly like anyone could randomly type numbers and get it right!? so can't that be hacked? !?!? I hope the payment goes as its suppose to with no delay!

@Daelii even if they hacked in all they could do is apply for jobs or claim to have applied for jobs on my behalf

That could be beneficial to volunteer with the med students.

Glad nothing more was said about the phone. But perhaps that PIN number IS the reprisal. Perhaps everyone else only has 4 digits!
