My work in progress for a future meal

After reading deleriousinidaho51's post "Potato Soup for Dinner" I really started wanting to make some myself.
I have only been making this for around two years now. My son that lives in CO would call me and talk about how good his mother-in-laws potato soup was. At the time I had never eaten it before. I decided to look up recipes on the internet and found two that sound real good. Since each one was a little different I decided to combine the two. Man that soup was good, when my son came to visit the next summer I fixed a huge pot, every bit was eaten and his son was asking for more. In fact my son said mine was better then his mother-in-laws.
When I cooked the potato soup fro them I also baked some sourdough potato flake bread, I baked 3 small loaves and it was also gone by the next day.
So today after a very long time of my starter for my bread just sitting in the fridge, I decided to take it out and start feeding it again. I think I will need to do this a least 3 times before I bake any bread. By the time I get my starter ready it will be cooler weather and then I will make a big pot of potato soup to go with it.
The only downside is, my son won't be here to share it with. When I make it, I'm planning on sharing some with my next door neighbors.

I'm thinking I might do this in a few more weeks, in the mean time I can get everything together that I will need. I hope you enjoy your soup if you make it this weekend.

Sounds good. Just hope I could get my daughter to eat it. She's 18 and still hates vegetables

@cupkitties Hope you find a good one. One of the recipes I follow, you put both bacon and ham cubes in it. That's how them kids are, never have tried it, oh I don't like that! lol

What is funny is the fact that when I cooked it when my son came down, the first thing my grandson said was, I don't like that. After he said that, he tasted it and ended up eating to big bowls of it and wanted more.

Thank you, they are a young couple and ever since they moved next door, they have done a lot for me.
