As far as I am concerned, I follow more members than my followers. Does it irk me? Surely not. I follow those members who churn out interesting discussions and have attractive profile. How about you? Yes, and not to forget those who respond with enlightening comments to my posts

I have a lot of followers, but many of them are inactive friends from the old mylot.

Roughly the same but follower numbers don't really have the same importance on here that they do on, say, Twitter or LinkedIn. If someone follows me then I will often follow them back unless they are obvious spammers or newbies who spent their first days here following hundreds of members instead of posting interesting discussions and replying to comments.
I follow one members who write interesting posts regardless of whether they will follow me. Some of the most prolific and entertaining writers on here practically never follow anyone back.

I don't remember my stats but I think more people follow me than I follow them. I don't usually use the "follow" feature on sites. I can keep up with what people post without it. There are some people that are obsessed with numbers and number of followers and if you have a low number of followers they will look the other way. I think that's wrong to do.
