To upgrade or not to upgrade?

I just found out that my school computer should have had Pages updated several years ago, and the reason it wasn't upgraded is that I needed a system upgrade. I just upgraded my iPad and once again have to find my way around it (the places of things change on the keyboard and it drives me nuts to be thrown into the Japanese keyboard when I'm trying to get to the number keyboard.) All in all, I dread upgrades. Often it takes longer for me to relearn them than it takes for them to make the next upgrade! How about you? Do you get all excited and immediately install the next upgrade, or do you wait? Me, I wait until I'm sure all the bugs have been worked out of it.

I hate upgrades with a passion. It annoys me that you have to have them whether you like it or not.

@petatonicsca You could be right. Some of the changes don't always seem necessary.

Sometimes I think that the people who develop updates just want to show off their design expertise. I wonder if they also rearrange their furniture once a month.

Luckily I have no updates to deal with. My devices are so simple they are archaic.

Archaic is good sometimes! I have a very old Kindle that still works. It's as big as a magazine and very easy to read on.

I always look after upgrades so I could be again be busy learning the new features they add to the OS. Mostly upgrades are not cosmetic updates but security updates that is why you should always be updated with it else your machine might not work well.
