Up and At 'Em and Off to School

I don't know if it is the cooler weather or what but this week I've been waking up with more vim and vigor than I have in a while. This morning, I even got up before the dogs. Still trying to adjust to the idea that it is already October. This year has flown by. My new job probably has a lot to do with it. Where every day used to drag by, now every day seems to fly by and the dismissal bell comes as an unpleasant surprise. This week, as I mentioned before (I think), my students are taking the Iowa Test. Yesterday it was the two 30 minute reading sections. Today it will be two relatively short math sections and the short section of written expression. Wish them luck today. Time for me to leave for school. What are your plans for the day?

@Janet357 I've never taught high school. but I spent 15 years teaching middle school and it was a challenge everyday of those 15 years. Toward the end, due to a demographic shift in student population, we were spending 60 to 70% of our time on discipline and barely had time to teach.

@DWDavis you must be a patient teacher. Some american teachers i know, don’t like teaching high school students because they are rough hahaha.

hope your school day goes well and the kids do good on the test. It has been cold and chilly here lately makes me not want to get up and go to work. I've had no ambition this week. My plans for today is leaving for work in 15mins and there until 8pm.

Where are you that it is already so cold? My oldest son is stationed in North Dakota and they had snow Sunday night and Monday morning. Quite a sight for that southern boy to see.

I hope you find some good deals. It seems like from what you've said before that the Tuesday auctions tend to run higher than Friday.

@DWDavis They were but the last Friday auction was high also. But it was a special sale. Didnt bring anything home again lol

It did turn out well. The kids worked hard on their tests in the morning and hard on their paper bag wigwam project in the afternoon.

Yeah the year is flying by. I don't want it to be October yet. I'm not ready. Today I hope to read some more of my book, and color some.

My day is coming to an end. My back is tired so I'll be off shortly. It's a great bonus to have a job that you really like. I was always lucky with my jobs.
