Yesterday I sent my clinical focus files to our clinical coordinator through the Facebook messenger. I was confident he received the files in the college of nursing computer since it has wifi connection. This morning while we were having discussion about Breast cancer, our clinical coordinator came inside the room, talked to me, and asked me to resend the files since he did not receive it. I told him the files are visible even in my phone and in the iPad of Miss Cata. He then said maybe the files I sent were not compatible with his laptop. Ignorant as I am, because I know nothing about it, I said I will do it once I get home. Miss Cata saw me in anxiety so she opened her iPad. She was able to open the link. We both went to the nursing office and showed the clinical coordinator about it but still his laptop can't open the link. Miss Cata therefore told me she will resend my files. I thanked her sincerely. The screenshot here is the message I sent to the clinical coordinator. Now, my files are safe and not missing anymore. ...translation of the messages: Miss Cata: sir, I already sent the cf of ma'am Ingrid Me:sir, did you receive the files sent to you by Miss Cata? Clinical coordinator : yes ma'am. Thanks ma'am.

@ridingbet That's terrible of her to do that.

@just4him this colleague feels like she is on the top. it is a policy of the college of nursing that clearance slip should be signed only when we submit all requirements like the grading sheets, evaluation sheets, clinical focus, and hospital or patients' evaluation to the students. she has not submitted anything but her clearance slip is already signed, because the clinical coordinator and our dean live in the same locality.

yes, that is now a total sigh of relief. i do not want to be incomplete with my school requirements that is why i do my responsibilities as early as possible. the condescending colleague though 'stole' the clinical focus of Miss Cata by copying from Miss Cata's iPad to her iPhone.

Not always files sent using smartphones open correctly on the computer. I also had this experience.

@ridingbet It happens sometimes that my husband send to me encrypted files via email and I cannot open the files. This only happens when he encrypts the file, to be sure they cannot be seen by hackers.

@DianneN thanks so much. i am inside the house, in front of the desktop, while my sister is sweeping the dry leaves in the garden right now, despite the fact that it is now drizzling. and then i expect some complaints from her later 'that she has fever due to getting wet from the rain'.

It's a bit scary when people responsible for your health lose your files.

although i have my saved copies in this desktop, i won't send second copies because it will mean the clinical coordinator will be very dependent on asking new copies again

the clinical coordinator said ''my files were missing because he cannot open the link''. i sent it to him so it is not my fault anymore if he cannot open his laptop for the file's link
