Bugs and ants on new car - why?

Hubby got a new car yesterday. We went outside this morning and there were some little bugs and even some ants crawling on it. That was weird. Wonder why they were there. The car is white. Are they attracted to the white color? Or maybe it's the new car smell they are attracted to? What could be the reason for their presence on our new car? I hope this won't be a regular thing.

Hmm. If it is a brand new car, no idea. If a used car, perhaps it was polished with a product that attracts ants, maybe some sort of wax...? Never seen it before, except at the time of the year where bees or possibly ants swarm - not restricted to white cars tho.
A beekeeping expert warned waiting for the bees to move could be a slow process.

Some smell are much liked by some bugs. Probably the paint has something that attracts them.

@lovebuglena so that's it, they were looking for a shelter.

@Mavic123456 They better had realized that this shelter was not for them. I don't want ants in our SUV.
