Daily Mail news article had me in tears....

Just a warning. This is sad. Especially to animal lovers. I won't be as descriptive as the article but wanted to share the subject to vent and share my anger towards certain disgusting people. I know there are so many beliefs / religions out there. I do my best to learn about them out of curiosity and I ask many questions to try to understand since a lot of what is believed is just hard for me to comprehend. But I never try to steer people away from what they believe. Never. But when it comes to beliefs / religions, where people or animals get harmed, I instantly....hate you. Hate is a very strong word I know. But I do. I hate you. Immensely. Don't care if you're awesome in another area in life but if you torture and / or kill a person or animal for your faith, then I hope a whole pineapple gets shoved up your poop shoot....sideways. And slowly. I already knew this stuff went on in some religions / cults but things change a little when you actually see it. I didn't know this article was going to have photos so it caught me off guard and had me burst into tears. This article is about these satanists in Mexico. I'm not what you call religious. Like I said, I like to learn but a lot doesn't make sense to me. But it doesn't mean I can't see evil. Doesn't mean I don't know right from wrong. I told someone recently, I may be lost on where I stand but you can be damn sure I'm never on the Devil's side. Whether the Devil is real or fake ( I don't know ) it's just the idea of someone wanting to be loved by him or be like him that shocks me. So back to the article. Tourists watched these morons, torture and sacrifice live animals to seek spirituality. They believe that smearing the blood of sacrificed animals can save lives and used it to pledge souls to Satan. "Worshippers indulge in brutal animal sacrifice, dance before burning pentagrams and disappear into a subterranean cave where solemn oaths are sworn before a large statue of the devil and a committee of shamans." I don't want to tell you what the photo was but all I can say is, I cried my eyes out and I'm still sobbing from looking at the face of this poor goat who was obviously scared for it's life. I don't understand people. Hey no one is perfect but goodness sake! When it comes to harming an animal or person, then you are literally the total opposite of whatever perfect could be. I'm just disgusted. I can't stand seeing any people or animals being scared or hurt. And how it's all allowed to be continued, I still don't understand. But then again, in saying that, Satan seems to be pushed more onto people nowadays. Already have After School Satan Clubs being popped up for children to attend. Already have so many music videos showing people doing rituals or bathing in blood. Many celebrities have said they have sold their souls to the Devil to get to where they are. Maybe all deranged? Figure of speech? Or are they really telling you something we should be concerned about? Don't know. Still weird though that Satan or the idea of Satan is around us more than people know. Again, whether God / Devil is real or fake, it's still scary and sickening to me that some decide to live their lives trying to please the evil one no matter what that entails.

You know, if you read the Bible ancient populations offered animals in sacrifice to God. Are we sure that this was true or is only "bad translation"? This leads to think that it would be time to revise some text not to incentive cruel practices.

@LadyDuck I have thought about that too. I knew about these sacrifices occurring in other religions / cults etc I would like to read all of the Bible. But yeah I have thought about this many times. The Bible is from a different time and for all the translating that has been done on it, could very well have different meanings now than from what it actually meant back then.

@VivaLaDani13 The Bible was put in writing many MANY centuries after it was only a mouth to mouth novel. I imagine that it has been "adjusted" in the past, but it would be time to make it a more modern book.
