Today, my editor returned her markup copy of the manuscript for Storm Damage: A Buzby Beach Novel with her notes and edits. Now it is time for me to make what will hopefully be the last round of changes before it goes to print. I don't know yet how many changes she's recommending or how many corrections to spelling or punctuation she noted that need to be made. I only know that my biggest priority for the next few evenings will be going through and making them. How is your Monday going//how did your Monday go?

That's the one thing I hated writing my 8 books--the rewriting and correcting grammar and spelling!! I always said that I did it on purpose--it was my style BUT my fantastic editor wouldn't let me get away with that!

I have gotten better with my punctuation, but I still have a long way to go. I will always need a good editor.

Thank you for the kind words about the cover. On all except my first book, I designed the covers myself. To be immodest, I think this is one of my best.

I hope the last of the changes goes ahead smoothly and that there aren't too many of them. Are you sometimes surprised at what you've missed yourself?

With the first book, I was. Now I realize that I am my own worst proofreader.

Since I'm fairly behind, hope the corrections/edits are going well.

I hope things go smoothly with making those changes. It is Tuesday morning here and I am on a mission to help my younger daughter declutter and arrange her art and craft shelf.

I was able to get through 4 chapters last night. There weren't nearly as many edits as in some of my prior manuscripts. I hope to make it through 4 or 5 more chapters tonight.

@DWDavis That is a good pace. Hope you find less of things to correct and finish it fast.

The temps were, for lack of a better word, neutral here today. The sky stayed gray and there were a few stray raindrops. Tomorrow is supposed to bring more rain. Just what we don't need here.

Congratulations to you. I like that cover. My second book of poems is in the works as well. Getting formatted and getting a cover designed then off to Amazon. My Monday was just a quiet one at the PC.
