The other day I wrote about all the renovations they have done to our apartments but did I mention that they are doing a lot of changes to the outside of the buildings too?
In any case Allen and I went for lunch and when we got back I had to check which was my building. The entrances have been completely changed and that is just the start!
I really don't mind change but they are taking the charm away from the place not only by removing most of the blooming Mother Nature spots and making the grounds look uniform but taking away what made Gateway Terrace unique instead of 'modern'!
How do you feel about physical changes of things around you?

Personally, I do not like changes that are much too drastic. Anything that looks super modern is not to my liking. I love things that look old, well cared for and just make you seem welcome. Modern things do not. I liked what your building looked like before.

My feelingand view is some things need to be conserved in order to preserve the old charm of a place but some things need to be changed or renovated especially when they reach a point where they become sort of an eye sore, differentiating which is which would involve some kind of a talent, experience and professionalism

There is nothing wrong with the front of our buildings as they are aesthetically or practical.

@GreatMartin yes, I could see that, were the people living there not consulted before the changes were made or atleast shown blue prints?

What a shame I can see what you mean. I liked the old front there Martin.
Oh they have also driven me nuts here with renovations..but not because of taking charm away, there wasnt any in the first place.
But the incompetency of the workers milking the hours and doing shoddy work not fit or safe.
Well I am moving in a few days so..

I, too, liked the old front--the 'lace' effect has disappeared in today's world.
Good luck with your move.

This is not an owner's association--just owners! But I can give you 98,087 reasons why I do not want to OWN a home starting with having to put in hurricane windows and constantly making improvements which is disrupting and costs a lot of money!
