A dog is rescued by a state policeman and a stranger

There is something about dogs that get away from their owners in the sense that they like to take very dangerous risks like running across the lane of an interstate.
Molly who is a female dog managed to get away from her owner when she wandered on the eastbound lanes on Interstate 80 near Oakland California on Friday.
California Highway Patrol (CHP) or (CHIPS) Officer Matias with the assistance on a stranger who was riding a motorcycle team up to rescue Molly.
The officer did his part by directing traffic to stop so he and the motorcycle rider could corralled Molly and return her to the owner of the dog.

@Deepizzaguy They do not realize that they are crossing the street, they see something on the other side of the street that they want to inspect.
