Why Not a True World Series

Boston has won this year's (American) World Series match up and someone in the family mentioned since it was only the USA teams playing between their two leagues it really wasn't a "world series" since there are other countries that play baseball. So the suggestion is "why not have a true World Series like they do in "Little League" and pit the top team from each country in a tournament with the top two teams at the end having either a 5 or 7 game play off and then the winner will be a true World Series champs.

Truth be told, probably one of the big reasons they don't do that is because no other team in the world can play at the level and caliber of the Major League Baseball teams. It would be a slaughter every year, with the Major League Baseball team dominating each time. I don't say the American team, because there are some good Major League clubs in Canada as well. But any of the Major League Baseball teams would dominate all the "other" world baseball teams.

We may be surprised as those little leaguers from other countries often win the Little League World Series

@Elizaby That's true, but almost no countries outside of the US and Canada have high school sports, college sports, or professional leagues, so those Little League kids really have nothing more to aspire to unless they come to the US to play.

I like it the way it is. I'm not familiar with other countries' baseball.

Does baseball exists in other countries too?

It's a good question.

They must do that so that the title world series is appropriate.
