Halloween and the last two days

There’s a list each month of what is coming and what is going on Netflix. I happened to see that Steel Magnolias was leaving on November first.
On Halloween after my sons cyber school lessons were complete I sat down to watch it before dinner. Ironic that I watched it that day as there was a scene in it where Annell gets thrown a Halloween themed bridal shower because she was getting married on Halloween.
After we ate dinner I picked up my daughters friend. She, my son, my daughter and I went trick or treating from 6-8. It rained a little but was warm. I was a bit over dressed in my winter boots lol. I am really enjoying the candy my kids didn’t want.
Yesterday I took my daughter to her dermatologist appointment. She got a refill of her acne medicine and had the rash looked at that’s on her arm. He didn’t know what it was but my suggestion to try calamine lotion on it he said would be a good idea.
The nurse was giggling and told my daughter about calling me last week on the phone and thinking it was my son and asking if mommy was there. It was early in the day so she asked if I wanted some fresh coffee. Boy did I ever but I told her I just quit drinking it a few weeks back.
I chatted on messanger with a friend. We aren’t really close but but friends all the same. She told me she had just gotten out of the hospital. She was in agony with arthritis and due to her heart she was filled with fluid. Her feet and face were completely swollen. She just had open heart surgery maybe 2-3 months back. She said she’s not going to fight it anymore if it’s her time to go she’s going. Made me sad to hear that. To me she’s still to young to give up on life I don’t think she’s even 70 yet.
Today while my son was doing his live classes I sat by him and took surveys on mypoints. I qualified for 6 of them and earned 439 points. There was still more to take but I had to make lunch and walk the dog and soon my son and I have to do more school work so I’ll call it quits with the surveys today.
My daughter is going to her friends house after school which has become their Friday routine.
The photo is of a lovely new coat a friend gave to me. She bought it for her daughter and it didn’t fit and the arms were to tight on my friend. It’s heavy and wool. I mentioned about this coat to @DianneN so I figured I would share a photo of it to everyone on this post.

I had a couple friends that say they got married on Halloween. Halloween just kinda came and went, didn't it? But it's always fun for the kids. That is strong will power about the coffee. Hope your friend gets better - I know it takes time especially after surgery. That's a cool coat - stylish!

@much2say I think if I do a little coffee I'll just want more and eventually go back to drinking it all the time. Better I just avoid it even though I miss it.
I just picked up my friend and took to vote and dropped her car off to be inspected and drove her home. Looks to be doing good!

@shaggin I had a friend whose parents were married on Halloween and he said that he was actually there (his mom was pregnant with him at the time - I guess that would count as him being there
). Could you have just a little coffee? Like limiting to a half or one small cup a day? Oh gosh - well I hope your friend will be able to recover from all that - there's always that chance of having complications after but hopefully she'll beat it!

That is a great coat! Your friend sounds like my roomie's mother she is in kidney failure and does not want to undergo dialysis. She is fairly young as well, I think early 70's, but dialysis is expensive and a grind, not sure I wouldn't make the same decision honestly. Apparently, her mother went through it and suffered alot.

@Tampa_girl7 thank you! It's a little big but I can pinch the belt tighter so it fits better. It is a little long but it will keep me warm that way anyway.

@Courtlynn it's a little long on me but that covers more of my body to keep me warm. I have to just ask my boyfriend this weekend to make sure it doesn't look overly long on me. I don't have much of a sense of style.
I always see the Netflix list because they post what is coming and going on dailybreak each month.

@Tina30219 It was a nice movie that had me crying at the end. I think I'm a smidgen shirt for the coat so I will have to see what my boyfriend says. I rolled the sleeves up an inch. Longer will keep more of my body warm though in the cold this winter!
