Chest Port Removal: Bye Bye Alien

After waiting for months, I finally got my temporary dialysis access removed. This was implanted in my chest over a year ago and was only supposed to be in place for a couple of months. Because of that I had a lot of scar tissue around the entry point that needed to be cut away. I was awake for the procedure but had a local surface block for it. That did little for the sound of the tiny scissors making cuts into my flesh but I was happy to be having it removed. I did manage to catch a nap for about an hour and I freaked out when I woke up because the two tubes that were coming out of my chest for more than a year were suddenly missing. This might take a while to get used to LOL

I can start lifting heavy; I had a 25# restriction with it and trust me - you knew exactly when you hit that weight. It's still incredibly sore but it feels good to be free of my chest sucking alien LOL
