Ten Louisville Tourist Attractions I've Been To: Kentucky Kingdom (#7)

As I said, there's two parts to this look at my hometown's big tourist spots: the ones I haven't yet been to, and the ones I have been to. Along with the places I haven't visited yet, there are places I can give a personal thumbs up (or down) to because I've been there. Here's today's "been there, done that" place.
#7: Kentucky Kingdom
My dear mother of blessed memory used to say Louisville was a second-rate city because everything was "minor league," from our baseball team to our amusement park. Well, she had a point. Kentucky Kingdom isn't exactly Disney World or Kings Island. It's a "local" amusement park, definitely not a "destination" place the way a Six Flags (which used to own Kentucky Kingdom) might be.
Still, there's plenty for just about anyone: kid rides, thrill-a-minute roller coasters, shows, and a water park. My favorite part of the park is the water park (called Hurricane Bay). It has standard attractions: water slides, a water coaster, wave pool, and the lazy river.
It won't be the best amusement park you ever see, but it's a great stop for the locals. You might like it, too!

@FourWalls I was never really into them but anything rough and jerky is out for me now too.

It really is a park "for the locals." Still, people from here go to Holiday World or Kings Island as well (or instead).
