The top three! I’ve reached the biggest of the big ones in terms of favorite songs based on real events. I mentioned earlier that a number of theses events happened in November. Here’s another one that happened in November. #3: 11 MPH - Was (Not Was) I’m not a conspiracy theorist. Bush didn’t orchestrate 9/11 (he’s too dumb to tie his shoelaces, remember, conspiracy people?). We really did go to the moon. The earth is round. Having said that....I think Oswald acted alone as much as I believe I shot JFK. And I was three years old when Kennedy was assassinated....and 1100 miles away! There’s just too much weird stuff about the president’s assassination that doesn’t make sense. Not now, not then. My dear mother of blessed memory said little 3-year-old me said that Ruby was gonna shoot Oswald before he shot him. And if a three-year-old can see that..... Oh, well, there are as many theories as people, no doubt. Was (Not Was) had their own theory, soulfully articulated in this song. If you don’t agree with the way they saw the assassination, at least you can dance to the song! 11 MPH Written by David Was and Don Was Recorded by Was (Not Was) From What Up, Dog, 1988 Based on President Kennedy’s assassination in Dallas, Texas November 22, 1963 At the time and place agreed:

I like when you show your personality. Whats the worse than can happen. For some reason think this shows you playful side when all I saw was serious, boo.

@FourWalls Thanks I will stay home. I do not trust many and worse when they give you something for free. My opinion of course. I hope you enjoy though.

I never heard this one before. Was (Not Was) wasn't on the KROQ playlist.

Not even when Ozzy sang lead on a song?
Track 9 from the 1983 album Born To Laugh At Tornadoes. A little info (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shake_Your_Head).

It was an album cut. I'm a Was (Not Was) fan. I know, that sounds strange amid the Merle Haggard and Bill Monroe, doesn't it....
