So Dwayne The Rock Johnson produced a biographical movie of the WWE wrestler Paige.
Paige does have an interesting life story. Even if you are not a wrestling fan, her life is interesting.
She is from a family of wrestlers.... They wrestle in carnivals and Bingo Halls.
Her siblings and parents are all wrestlers but non of them are hired by WWE. She was a wrestler since she was 13 years old... When she turned 18, she and her brother got a try out to be a wrestler on WWE. So this movie will focus on a sibling rivalry and also love and support between family.
I wonder though if this movie will explore the controversial Aspects of Paige life like when WWE force her to break up with her boyfriend, When she was on an a mentally abusive relationship, She had a sex tape leaked and she almost commited suicide because of it and her career ending injury.
The cast is interesting. It has Lena Headey from game of thrones playing Paige's mother. Nick Frost from Shaun of the dead is playing her dad.
The Rock will be in this movie as himself and some sort of mentor for Paige. The movie will be a drama comedy and trailer is very funny.

I think "The Rock" is not really a part of Paige's life... they just insert him in the movie so it will become a hit.

This movie is kind of Bitter sweet because Paige's career ended after she broke her neck. She cannot wrestle anymore

Paige is basically teased at school as a kid for being a wrestler because they tell her her sports is "fake" So it is feel good movie about pursuing her dreams.

Basically the British wrestling scene became alive when Paige got famous. It use to be in Bingo Halls but now in stadiums.

I guess if you like an underdog story of a girl who wants to work for a company that does not find her commercially appealing because she is a goth, pale,tomboyish doesn't have what people find attractive succeed . You may like it. Also there is something fascinating with her family.
Before she got hired WWE treats female wrestlers like crap like their matches are scripted to be 2 minutes because they believe women cannot draw... Now women are main eventing.. So she change the game... She also have controversies on her life...

@MissNikki Yup the scandals of her life is not in this movie. Its more focus on her relationship with her brother. Its a brother sister bonding movie.
