It's Camp Day for my little Girl Scout

Early this morning I dropped off my third grader to school with a few of her "Day Camp" stuff in her backpack. They'll be making a BLT sandwich today and she's so excited. While she was having breakfast at home I packed her cooked bacon strips, lettuce, cheese, tomatoes, ketchup and mayo. And I told her proudly, "Mama has packed everything already!" But lo, I forgot to pack her bread slices. LOL. I just remembered the boo boo while I was at the car wash. As soon as the workers finished washing my car, I drove quickly back to the school and dropped off her bread slices. Whew. Good thing traffic wasn't so bad. I got to school in about 15 minutes. I don't feel guilty anymore. ;o) Now I'm home and resting for a while before I start with work and a few chores. Did you join Girl Scout or Girl Guides back in school? What was your most memorable activity in scouting? (Image from Pixabay)

That's one I missed when I was young. I wanted to be a Girlscout so that I can go camping, but my Mother is such a sucker of spoiler. She did not want me. And that sandwich, it makes me want to have it right now.

@almostoveryou I joined the different organization when I was in my elementary days. I joined Drum and Buggle - where I was a majorette. Then I joined our Choir, where I was one of the Soprano 2. In HighSchool - I joined CAT and I was one of the cadets. And in college, I joined ROTC and I was one of the Officers.

Oh I'm sorry to know that. I can't remember if I ever joined a camping activity either. Perhaps it was just another day camp with YMCA. I got bored with Girl Scout so I joined another org in grade school and totally skipped it in high school. And I wish I could send you a BLT too!

I think being a girl scout or boy scout are the happiest moments in life of primary grade pupils. They have lots of activities where they learn a lot of things to do and they love camping. I speak for them, because that's how I felt during my primary years.

I was a girl school until I was about 16 years old. I loved the time I spent earning lots of badges.

That's great you got the bread to her for her BLT sandwich. Yes, I was a Girl Scout. My most memorable activity happened at Christmas. We painted poinsettia candle holders. It was a fun time.

I have a son who goes to high school and I'm already preparing for school so I do not have so much responsibility for these things.

@almostoveryou If you think about how many hours it starts to work, then it's from 7 am in the morning.

I don't have the most memorable activity in scouting, but I was always active in taking part in scouting when I was a student

Well, that's good. I can't remember much of my scouting days either but I do remember staying in school to practice and memorize some songs.
