the new GARDEN

Our garden

My big brother, having the green thumb, is constantly renovating our lawn. Good thing the grass is growing greener and our mango tree is also trimmed and cut. Though there is no more shade, my big brother planted some of the ornamental plants to the ground like the poinsettia. He took his talent from our mother. His hands are cool to the plants. He will be leaving back to UK on Sunday. We will surely miss him. It will also be back to only 3 of us at home.

It is a very nice garden. I cannot believe how many aerial cables you have in your country.

@ridingbet Yes, all the cables are underground here in Switzerland.

oh, hahaha! yes. those cables get tangled during typhoons that is why we have some power outages. in Kuwait, or maybe in othr parts of the world, there are no electrical posts because they are underground. is it the same there in your place?

@LadyDuck that is why maybe if there are severe weather disturbance, the power won't be cut off there.

Wow, what a nice garden you have there! So, who cultivates the plants when your brother is again in the UK. I suppose the mango tree was trimmed because of typhoon Ondoy?

it was Ompong not Ondoy, last SEptember, my lady. my sister tends to the plants. i don't touch them because they might wither and die.

@rakski once the roots reach the soil, then my sister won't re-plant it again

our garden was so 'ungardenlike' during summer time because the soil was brown and barren and grass did not grow. even the plants wither due to the extreme heat from the sun

@thelme55 yes they are. it is like talking face to face, unlike snail mails and telegrams that take days to reach its destination

Could he grow the apple branch with the dangling apple in your garden?

the branches of apple are planted in big pots. when a twig is cut, it shows green so it means the twig is alive.
