The things people do for Likes and Shares....

If you're on Facebook, then no doubt you've seen photos with captions such as "Share if you're against cancer" or "Like and Share if you love God" or "Please share this dog around so he feels loved" etc. I'm sure you know what I'm talking about. Whether you Like and Share, I really don't care and this isn't a stab at you. I personally do not Like or Share things like that even if I do agree with the caption. The reason it's captioned the way it is, is to guilt or scare people to Share and for the person who started it will see how far it reaches. So out of spite, I don't give attention to these photos. I don't wish to be made to feel guilty over a photo. Yes I'm against cancer but no, my Sharing it won't do anything except give 5 minutes of fame to the person who started it. And yes that doggy was cute but nope, I can still think he is cute without sharing it. But this....this is something that really ticked me off! I think the photo speaks for itself. I don't know who started it but it's clearly to guilt people into sharing it. And the sad thing is, is that us as humans can be so superstitious that we share it. When really, whether you share or don't share, it won't matter. It's just a morbid thing I reckon. Again, no doubt there are many here who Like and / or Share photos like this but I'm not having a go at you! I'm angered by how harsh these photos can be. And this one I've attached is a good example! ****Photo is from Facebook****

Just now I see it in facebook account, its about cancer. But sorry my prayers are stronger than this kind of strategy. I just ignore it and never hit a like or share.

@ilocosboy That is fair enough. Praying is a more personal thing too. I'm not religious but I have nothing against people praying for a better world. All I know is, is that this type of thing doesn't nothing at all! I'm sick of seeing photos like this. It's irritating and literally doesn't help anything.

I never share that kind of pictures and messages. I think it's even rude to post things like this and offensive to tell people that you do not like your mother if you do not share. Facebook should do a better job in banning this kind of messages.

@LadyDuck I agree with you! With everything you said! Something like this is just way over the top. Facebook annoys me in general. So much gets flagged when it isn't that bad yet really really awful things are allowed to stay up! Makes me sense!

@VivaLaDani13 Weird people seem to love social media, they can annoy the others anonymously.

@LadyDuck lol that's how I feel sometimes! Facebook has many benefits but the majority of it is just people being unkind to one another.

Ohhh, I hate those! I might read them (and perhaps roll my eyes depending on what it is), but I won't like or share them. I haven't seen the one you have shown here, but oy - that is a harsh one !

@VivaLaDani13 It's an insult to those who have lost their moms or have moms that are not in good health. Rather insensitive!

@much2say I am the same as you. I surely react to these sorts of posts but not in a way that is positive. These posts are just too stupid for me and yeah, this one especially is way too harsh and just wrong.

That one is awful. I wish my Mom was here -- I lost her nearly a year ago. I didn't have to "post" any thing to prove I loved her, either.

@xstitcher Really sorry about losing your mum! I can truly empathise and sympathise. I lost my mum when I was 16 (2007 ) and it's something I'm still grieving from. I wish you all the best on healing from this pain and sadness. And yep, a post like this doesn't prove anything.

I have seen so many like those ones but I never take action. I have seen even forward this to 10 people to receive blessings within an hour. Our God is not a bribe God.

@LowRiderX I agree! It's sometimes very morbid what people will post. Or cruel things. I'm losing interest in Facebook more and more nowadays.

I've never shared or liked any of such posts and the world hasn't ended, I'm still alive, I'm still happy and I haven't had nightmares.
