Frangipani - Plumeria

One of the trees I love...Its a flowering bush and belongs to the dogbane family. This tree or bush is indigenous to Mexico, but is grown almost everywhere now. These are deciduous trees and are a pretty sight to behold when the tree is in bloom. There drop their leaves before coming into bloom. The flowers stay on the tree for months on end.
The fragrance of the flowers is mild and pleasant. They come in different colors like yellow, shades of pink, peach, white with yellow centers and what is called a rainbow mix - a beautiful blend of pink, peach, yellow, and white.
Although I have no space to grow trees I have a few of frangipanies on my terrace in containers. The pink flower one has the heady smelly of roses, the white has a fresh lemony mint scent to it.
I have to trim the branches short so I can keep them on my terrace. The smell of these blooms fill my garden with a sense of magic.. right now i have three colors, a pastel pink, a deeper pink and white. I am planning on grafting all colors on to one tree.. I hope I can get it right.
Do you have a favorite tree?

Your terrace garden must be a sight to behold with lilies and now this. We have those trees around and I had one too with bright red flowers.

Wow, that's another beautiful flower. And it's amazing that its fragrance differs when it's of this color or that.
My favorite tree is Magnolia. I love the smell of Magnolia flowers. In my high school days, a friend has that tree in their front yard. I cannot forget how fragrant they are when in bloom.
Yes, you try grafting those 3 colors of that flower. It must be so nice to have their 3 colors.

I like the color of the flower. I am also seeing yellow and white for this type of flower.

When we lived in Hawaii, we had several plumeria bushes. We would make flower leis out of them...I love the fragrance.

Beautiful flowers! So they look like the Japanese cherry blossoms which are a joy to watch because the whole tree becomes like full of only flowers minus the leaves when they are in full bloom.
