Good morning and Happy Thanksgiving to my friends in the U.S. / myLot

Today I have learned a lot about History of the U.S. and the celebration of Thanksgiving. I knew about the reason to celebrate, but I did not know about the reason for the exact date. One more thing to thank mylot and my friends here. I have learned so many things about customs around the world. Through mylot I have discovered the great amount of Spanish words that they have in the Philippines and the reason why Perú´s cuisine changed with the arrival of Chinese people. In this day, I will thank for mylot

It decreased now and colleges and universities have no more Spanish subjects. The dominance of English rule today.

Well the Spaniards colonized the Philippines from 1521 to 1898, I am not surprised that they still use many Spanish words. On April 25, 1898, the Spanish–American War began, the same year in September the Spaniard was defeated.

Many Filipinos have Spanish last names. And the names of the geography is Spanish too.

@LadyDuck Of course. Surely all of the ones that have Spanish last names have at least some Spanish blood.
