Sentinel Island is one of the most Isolated islands in the world because the people there are very hostile to strangers. All attempt to colonize them ends up in tragedy because they are very hostile tribal people. A Christian missionary thinks God will protect him so he decided to visit Sentinel Island and make Sentinelese people Christian. These people are so hostile that they spear and arrowed helicopters and boats that go near their island. The Sentinelese are very territorial . Who allowed him to go near that island. Sentinel Island is part of India and Indians themselves avoid that island like a Plague. No one knows the immune system of the Sentinelese, A single virus can kill the whole tribe. It's better to leave them alone since they protect the nature of that Island and they are not immune to all diseases.
US missionary went back to island after an arrow hit his bible. On his return, he was killed.

He should have respected what they say about the tribe that they don't want other people in their island.

@CaptAlbertWhisker Oh my, so that's his second time. What about the first time, was he hurt by them? The write up was so long I read it briefly only.

He paid some locals to take him close and he got speared, got back on the boat then went back and the killed him. I read the locals are being arrested for murder for taking him. They have their own language so have no idea how he expected to preach to them and they understand.

It was his 4th time there. He survive the 1st three spearings but decided to do it again. He never learned his lesson. the fact Mormon missionaries learn the language of a country before visiting makes his mission impossible. No one knows the sentinelese language.

This man tried to enter the Island 4 times. The Indian government already warned him but he never listen.

I think that it is very rude to go and try to "colonize" a population. All the countries who had freedom more or less hate those who colonized them in the past. Are we not annoyed and angry when the Jeovah Witness try to "convert" us? Why should be different for those people?

if he is determined to convert people though, he should have went on the friendlier and more accepting region in India where people can actually speak English.

@CaptAlbertWhisker When missionary will stop to try to convert free populations? For what we know, he brought there germs that now can kill the whole population of the Island.

Silly chap. But his silliness has brought these people to my attention. I wonder what they think of the world beyond their island. Are we devils? Gods? Fascinating stuff.

Maybe back in the past their ancestors have bad experience with foreigners and that made them hostile. This is the only footage of them being friendly.

in my opinion, they are not getting along well with other people so they are always hostile ,, there must be someone who teaches them about living in harmony with other tribes so that hostilities will not occur.

People don't even know what languages they speak.

@leny34 I think its better to leave them alone. They are not immune from our diseases. They are not vaccinated, so a single people with cough can kill their population.

@CaptAlbertWhisker maybe someone needs to learn their language so we can all communicate with them
