Have you changed color as you aged? Well in this part of the world mercilessly beaten by the sun we do tan and tan so much each year.. But this isn't about tanning.. this is about changing colors with the change in weather.. My succulents are getting more colorful.. although they may be facing death threats with the incessant rain in the last few days.. This scene makes me want to plant more and more of succulents everywhere.I just love the way they look.. However, my need to live and eat healthy doesn't permit me to do that. Space is premium on my terrace and I have to be happy with the space I have allotted for my cacti and succulents. There are all kinds of gourds, okra, eggplant , spinach, herbs and some fruits trees to compete for space. Now there are some beets, cabbages and carrots too growing here.. Today may be a very busy day for me as some of my friends have planned to drop by ... which means they will drag me along on their shopping trips which I hate.. sometimes we need to walk the extra mile because they are friends.. So I will be in and out of here today. Have a great day.

You have some amazing plants! Very nice! Yes, with friends we have at times to do things that we're not crazy about.

@sofssu I hear you! I'm glad that I can do my grocery shopping when there are less people in the stores like Monday morning and I got a couple of things at really good prices. I try to avoid crowds.

@1hopefulman Thank you so much... yeah you are right about doing things with friends... Its sad, that out of the seven of us in the group I am the odd one out.My friends had a blast, bargaining and grabbing stuff i wont buy in a life time. I really hate shopping and crowds.. I am a peaceful person and I love my space.

@1hopefulman I can manage a decent crowd but not the boisterous kind at sales.

Succulents are allergic to water. Hopefully you will cover them You are tempting me to go for vegetables and I am serious about it.

@LadyDuck Actually in summer I had a very poor harvest of green beans... the sun was scorching and the vines dried out. Now i am enjoying the green beans.. one of my favorite veggies.

@JustBhem They don't do well indoors.. The one on my husbands table grows leggy because there is no direct sunlight. I need to keep replacing them..

@JustBhem No, they are the easiest plants to care for.. They just need direct sun.. that is about it.. even watering once a week or twice a week in your kind of weather would be fine.

I had succulents like you have in the photo but I killed them very quickly I love the way succulents look as well and I see some people have them growing outside here. It baffles me how they keep then alive through the snow and cold months. I hope you had a nice time with your friends!

@shaggin The only way to kill the is by over watering.. they actually thrive on neglect.. My friend keeps them in the garage in winter.. so he says.

Wow, you have very beautiful succulents. They look so appetizingly delicious, as if they are so edible. No wonder you are so into cultivating them.

@SIMPLYD People often respond with similar words juicy, succulent, grapes, appetizing.. when the colors hasn't changed it looks like the seaweed that was served with lemon wedges on a recent post

Thats just nice to look at with the variation of colours they have. I have seen the same plants in my place but it is not as colorful as that in your picture. I guess it goes with the seasons as well that they change color like that.

@Letranknight2015 I have a scarlet one.. I need to look for the purples. Researches say deeply colored vegetables are much better for health.. so enjoy your okra.
