“I can SURF without a SURFBOARD. Is that POSSIBLE?”

This is my first discussion entry for today. I would like to start an ice breaker to invite good vibes today. Last night, I was having a class with the student and the seriousness in the class is killing me. We were talking about surfing on the beach with a surfboard. For being silly, I asked the student if it is possible to surf without a surfboard. As expected the student was dumbfounded with such question and asked me the same question. While laughing out loud, I told her that I can surf without a surfboard in using the Internet. Luckily, she can able to comprehend my silliness and we both laughing during the class.
“Do you feel silly sometimes when talking to someone?”
“Do you feel bored when talking to a serious person?”
“Are you a natural joker in the crowd?”

So many words now that had a different meaning just a decade or decades ago so it's fun to play with them. I can be serious, intelligent, funny and even silly depending on how the conversation goes.

@louievill We really need to update ourselves with the netspeak terms nowadays. If not, we will be left behind with the other millennials out there. I am also a joker.

This made me laugh, sounds just like me, except the serious part. No wonder everyone hates talking to me. I do get told I am to serious all the time. Also I have never surfed with a surfboard.... boogie boards and body surfing only. Makes true surfers mad and lucky a band named Pennywise came out to bridge the hate. I do not care most surfers straight jerks. I believe how a few got their name because they know it, Circle Jerks Butthole surfers. Like I said Pennywise was brave enough to pick the right side, but also say you can be a true surfer and not be a jerk. To me why California punk is still the best.
