Movie Review : "Wreck it Ralph 2: Ralph Breaks the Internet"

Hello My Lot, I was really excited to go see "Wreck it Ralph 2" - I have been waiting for it's release 6 years, since the first "Wreck it Ralph". So finally, I was able to go watch it in the small town theater , a block from where I live. It was a much needed break from what's been going on. Yes, I still watch animated movies, and a handful are among my favorites. I don't even know what appeals to me so much about "Wreck - it Ralph". Incase you didn't see the first one - the story deals with the characters inside an arcade. They socialize and live their own lives when they are not busy at work - which is being their roll within their own video game. (You know, pac-man eats pellets, etc.) There we meet "bad guy" - Wreck-it Ralph. He's a little depressed that no one is his friend and that he has the role of a "bad guy" in his video game. In effort to solve his issues - he hops over to another game to try and win a medal. Along the way he meets new friends, including underdog - Vanillope Von Schweetz, a character in a racing game. Ralph saves Vanillope and restores her to glory, as the top character in her game and in the process learns that it is alright to be himself and the value of relating with others. I'm not a big "gamer" but there is just something so appealing in the graphics, characters, story line that I own this dvd and watch it regularly. So enter "Ralph 2" Spoilers possible. Years have gone by , and now Vanillope's game, "Sugar Rush" is no longer being made. When a part breaks it is up to Ralph and Vanillope to get on the internet and try to earn a new part, so that Vanillope's game won't be trashed. Ralph tries to become a video star in order to earn enough money to buy the part, in the meantime Vanillope finds excitement in a new game and Ralph discovers that he can be clingy, needy, and controlling, and he learns to deal with that. While I thought there were some good lessons in there especially for young viewers - I was disappointed. Old favorite characters weren't featured as much - like Calhoun and Fix-it Felix. The new characters weren't quite as exciting. Anyway I was still happy to go see it. Anyone here a fan of "Wreck it Ralph"? Or animated films? Ralph official site:
