Natalie Barnes who is a bus driver with the Milwaukee County Transit System (MCTS) was honored by her employer for showing compassion to a homeless man named Richard. On a cold night, Natalie allowed Richard to get her bus and stay inside a warm for six hours when Natalie finished her route for that evening. Natalie was kind enough to buy Richard some food and drinks while Richard was her passenger aboard the bus. After Natalie finished her work driving the bus, she told Richard that she could ask a friend of hers to assist Richard who lost his home in a condemnation procedure. When Richard went to a homeless shelter, the shelter employees were able to find Richard a permanent home to stay. Richard calls Natalie his "Guardian angel."
