I have been on the phone almost steadily since 9:12 this morning. First I was dealing with Medicare and Health Insurance then I was on hold for 53 minutes for Social Security. My husband is talking to them right now. I will be glad when everything is all taken care of. However, I got some good news, I will be no longer having to pay for my health insurance ($203.00 per month) or my prescription insurance ( $67.00 per month). Yeah, extra money to pay bill with. He just hung up so I need to find out what happened on his end. Talk to you later.

Oh such joy waiting on the phone for them I know. You can get a call back sometimes. So good now you will no longer have to pay the health insurance Susan.

It is a blessing indeed. I look forward to the new SS check when they get around to adjusting it.

Trying to talk to Social Security on the phone here is nearly impossible. Even in their office in town they advise you not to bother to even try to talk to anyone on the phone.

I try not to talk to them on the phone but in this case I needed more help than I could find on the internet.

@BearArtistLady Haha. I would have trouble concentrating in this situation.

Hummm, I usually have problems talking to Social Security on the phone unless I'm in the bathroom sitting on the throne. For some reason I manage to come through to them loud and clear when I'm attempting to talk to them when I'm there. It often makes me wonder if they have some sort of camera rig set up in my home...(well Bill's home) and they can see what I'm up to when they finally get to me. Otherwise I usually don't bother trying to talk to them on the phone.

I ended up doing most of the work myself. I was on the phone and computer most of the day gathering information.
