a touch-MOVE

I recall when I was the lone representative of junior high school in our Intramurals; i played chess. I played with a senior high school lady who was so much better than me. I am watching the Finals Game 1 of the UAAP basketball (University Athletic Association of the Philippines) and i heard one sports commentator mention the words ‘’last touch’’. Ahh! So i thought the player who touched the ball last will not be given the ball but to the opponent. The ‘’touch move’’ in chess though meant differently. If you touch a chess piece, you should move the piece. There is no more thinking of another move; you should move a piece. Right now, I am listening to the game on TV. I am sorry the ‘’never-say-die’’ university is already lagging behind the stronger team that is the defending champion. At least, after 34 years, the Fighting Maroons show they can rise above hibernation and play the Finals. Incidentally, any news about the Golden State Warriors, Cleveland Cavaliers, Los Angeles Lakers, and Miami Heat?

I do not follow any of those teams or any teams lol so I do not know Sorry. It is good that the Fighting Maroons are doing well.

oh yes, but the game went to the Blue Eagles. the Maroons lost by 7 points. second game will be this Wednesday.

I've played chess a number of times and enjoy the game, but I am unfamiliar with the terms. Good to know what they mean. I'm not a basketball fan, so I have no news of those teams.

aside from ''touch-move'', there is also the ''first-move'' in chess, that is why i had to think several times before i touch a pawn when i played.

The Lakers won against the Mavericks. I wants the semifinals particularly the last game between UP and Adamson, it was really an exhilirating game, like the finals already.
