TV Review Doctor Who It Takes You Away

It Takes You Away Spoiler alerts It was basically about an anti-matter universe separated from ours by a cave dimension guarded by a Golem-like treacherous fairy tale leprechaun played by an unrecognizable Kevin Eldon and piranha moths. The living replicas of dead people was very similar to the Nexus creations in Star Trek Generations. Shout you're not real loud enough and they reveal their true identities. Lots of Scooby Doo red herrings like the speakers creating growly noises round the house. Bear traps that seem sinister but actually used to trap bears. Some great acting, especially Graham's emotional roller coaster feelings on seeing Grace and finally getting called Grandad and I dd quite like Frog-Grace though it would have made more sense for her to trying being one of the Doctor's old friends, especially Susan, than a frog from Graham & Grace's memories. Loved the line about reverse polarity coming from Yaz and the Doctor's terrific reply to it. Overall another very good episode, but again, not giving Yaz much to do. Just how out of date was Graham's sandwich by this time? Here you are love, have some food poisoning to add to your troubles. I want to see the Black Sheep style Wooley Wars hinted at by The Doctor too. Youtube Dr Who - Hunger Games parody Arthur Chappell

Yes - another excellent episode. Perhaps this was the first "pure" SF one in this series - no reference to race relations or the evils of Amazon this time!
