My friend who is coming on Sunday so that we could share a barbecue just called again. He asked if they could bring one of their friends (I know him). I answered sure, if he brings a bottle of reasonable good wine Then there was a pause and he asked whether "we" could make a punch with fruit and wine. I asked who was "we". Then, after another pause, he asked me if I knew his friend´s sister. I said no. Could they bring her? I told him the more the merrier. But I had some coal but did not know if it was going to be enough for meat for 5. I could make potato salad for 5 and had ice cream for all of us. I hope he understood that I was willing to have them all here, but that I would not do everything. When my best friends come, sometimes they invite a friend. But they bring lots of food and do most of the work. Don´t you think that it is fair?
