Poetry: My heart felt so painfully alone in my pain, in my pain

How can pain and sadness exist amidst great beauty and love?

Is there anything worse than being alone, alone, without feeling God by my side, on my side? I’d let God go, because I’d felt so alone in my heart, and now my pain was killing me, so deeply, deeply inside. Love once lived alone in God, and God was also all alone. God created you, and me, and he loved you and me, in we. God left you, and me alone, seemingly so alone in our pain, until you, and me see, God is in you, and me, as we are in he. I had no memories of my being with God before, so I doubted him. Yet if I’d had some memories, perhaps my pain would’ve been greater. Where did I learn that pain was pain though, if not in my pain? I had forgotten the colours of God’s love included also his pain. They say that pain breaks through the barriers in us of non-love. It is really though, just a part of love getting us to see the rest. The wisdom of love is said to come forth from our healed pain, and yet the truth is that love never requires such pain to be love. We create all pain in ourselves when we isolate ourselves from love. Braveness comes forth from adversity they often say that’s true, and yet a greater truth is that the truly brave never see adversity. All the brave see is love shining forth from God in every being, being. Lovely image and it shows nature is with us always, and we are part of it, as seen in the reflection in the water. When we stay connected with God, our pain is shared and becomes part and parcel of the learning process. Life here is like a school and we learn only by overcoming the challenges - siva

Thanks Shiva. That's a good point. I agree with you there. When we stay connected with God, pain and everything else is shared then too. I accept it's a school. I just hope the headmaster doesn't have too big a strap, that he might wield on us at times. Perhaps I need to produce more apples for the teacher, rather than lemons.

@innertalks We reward ourselves in spiritual terms through giving and that ensures genuine fulfillment. Those who take and hoard will find it tough to leave this shore when their number is called. This world is a temporary abode, so we have to check-out in due time - siva

@Shiva49 Yes, everyone has to check out. Nobody has ever avoided that yet, at least to my knowledge.
