the gate BUZZER

Every morning when anybody among us three wakes up ahead, the plug for the sensor light is pulled out and the plug for the gate's buzzer is connected.
The dogs' barks also add to the buzzer because they bark at unknown persons at the gate.
A while back, the buzzer sounded loud. My sister was expecting that somebody from the electric company will read our bills. She went out of the house while I just peeped through the window. There was no one. We thought there was a kid playing with our doorbell or buzzer so my sister asked me to pull out the plug. The kid ran so fast that my sister got angry.
Now, we should rely on the dogs' barks if anybody is in the gate.
Are there pranksters playing with your doorbell or gate buzzer if you have one? How do you deal with them?

We are in a quiet neighborhood , away from the road. We all have loud barking dogs inside our own perimeter.
That is why the dogs serves as our buzzer at all times and no pranksters. Both of our neighbor in our left and in front have buzzers. But so far maybe none played with their buzzers.

just a while ago, since our buzzer is unplugged, there were 2 girls ''barking'' at our dogs while 4 of our canines were jumping high to reach them (they are inside our garden premises, the girls outside). i stood at the side of the veranda and looked at them. when one girl saw me, she left and moved away while one dog followed her.
some kids play, and they cry when the dogs 'hit' on them.

Oh no, because we have security cameras and we see you when you come up to our door. No one should do that. Have you ever thought about security cameras? I think someone might be playing with it or it can be acting up.
I know when we moved into our home we had to change ours out. I would get cameras for security we use simplisafe.

we have bright sensor lights plugged at night. it lights up when somebody is moving at the gate and alongside it.

@ridingbet We have those in the backyard they are wonderful and help our dog when we let her out to go potty. She stays inside cause she is kind of an inside dog.

we also have a doorbell and elementary kids love to press it then run and laugh.
what's ironic is, kids know where it is and like to play with it, while the adults who are at the gate for a reason, can't see it and keep calling out 'tao po. tao po' or knocking on the gate.

that is true. the elementary kids are so playful they run away once they hit the buzzer. some adults also do press the button, and at the same time call our family name out!

the others maybe. well, for me, i can make a kid cry and not the other way around.
