Which sort of documentaries do you like to watch?

I think period dress in the middle ages was amazing and looks fine. I am glad that we don't have to wear it. I am keen on English Heritage as well. England and Wales have many castles.

@ScribbledAdNauseum Yes, you are right Wales has many castles. There were two near to the university I studied at. Cardiff in the south has a lovely castle. There are not any castles close to where I live. There is one near Mine Head. I had a lot of castles near me when I lived in Kent. Dover Castle was the one I loved the most. Deal Castle was just a little further along the coast. Hastings has a ruin of a castle that is very pretty.

@maximax8 If I'm not mistaken, I read somewhere (or watched) that Wales has so many castles per mile. I don't recall the exact numbers but it was astounding. Of course Wales isn't all that big.

YouTube has so many great travel videos. Crime stories that are true would be interesting though scary. The government of England are trying to make its people tolerant to mental illness. Unusual life stories can be fascinating.

@Porcospino I find planning a trip very exciting. From some videos I have been given some budget tips. It is lovely to get ideas for sightseeing. Recently I have been visiting a few different places on one trip. The videos help me to remember the worthwhile sights. I feel sorry for the Danish man that was convicted of a crime that he didn't commit. Now that was an interesting life story and you are clever to learn about topics you haven't had any experience of.

@maximax8 I love to watch travel videos, and they are a great way to find inspiration when I am planning a trip. There are many true crime stories on YouTube. I recently watched a video about a Danish man who was convicted of a crime he didn't commit. I found the video interesting because I remember the story from the news. Yes, unusual life stories can be fascinating. Sometimes I learn things about topics that have no personal experience with.

I saw a documentary about a man that was filming tigers in the wild. He was videoing one and then he didn't know one was in the bush right next to him. He got a shock when it came out towards him.

Indonesia has so many different islands. I went to the island of Sumatra and I was able to cross the line of the Equator. Travel documentaries are so educational. My son has learned a lot from wild animal documentaries.

@maximax8 Maybe I'll check some of those out after I retire in several years. At present, I have plenty to keep me away from doing what I should be doing now. Some of what I want to accomplish I need to wait until family members go to work in the afternoon, but I could be working on my bookkeeping now and haven't started it for today yet.

American history is very interesting and I would like to learn more about it. Coming from England you see there is very much history. I know about the history of World War II.
