I watch the Townsends Channel on youtube, I also watch English Heritage from time to time. I've been watching bushcraft videos lately.
I watch documentaries on the way of life for people in the middle ages. I think some of my favorite are just clips of people putting on the period dress. I love the process but I would hate to wear all that.

@ScribbledAdNauseum Yes, you are right Wales has many castles. There were two near to the university I studied at. Cardiff in the south has a lovely castle. There are not any castles close to where I live. There is one near Mine Head. I had a lot of castles near me when I lived in Kent. Dover Castle was the one I loved the most. Deal Castle was just a little further along the coast. Hastings has a ruin of a castle that is very pretty.

@maximax8 If I'm not mistaken, I read somewhere (or watched) that Wales has so many castles per mile. I don't recall the exact numbers but it was astounding. Of course Wales isn't all that big.

I like documentaries about travel, true crime stories, movies, mental illness and people with unusual life stories. I have found a lot interesting documentaries on Youtube.

@Porcospino I find planning a trip very exciting. From some videos I have been given some budget tips. It is lovely to get ideas for sightseeing. Recently I have been visiting a few different places on one trip. The videos help me to remember the worthwhile sights. I feel sorry for the Danish man that was convicted of a crime that he didn't commit. Now that was an interesting life story and you are clever to learn about topics you haven't had any experience of.

@maximax8 I love to watch travel videos, and they are a great way to find inspiration when I am planning a trip. There are many true crime stories on YouTube. I recently watched a video about a Danish man who was convicted of a crime he didn't commit. I found the video interesting because I remember the story from the news. Yes, unusual life stories can be fascinating. Sometimes I learn things about topics that have no personal experience with.

I was going to say I don't have a working TV to watch any of that and haven't had one for ten years. But I never thought to look on YouTube. I know just about everything is on there.
Do you just out those topics into the search bar to find what you want to see?

@maximax8 Maybe I'll check some of those out after I retire in several years. At present, I have plenty to keep me away from doing what I should be doing now. Some of what I want to accomplish I need to wait until family members go to work in the afternoon, but I could be working on my bookkeeping now and haven't started it for today yet.
