What day? It is the last day of school before Christmas break. It is also the day of my elementary school Christmas music program. And I'm in charge of the program.
Yikes! So many pieces to tie together! The kindergarten through grade 2 are doing a program called "A Rainbow Christmas" that shows how God loves everyone, no matter what the color of their skin. The third and fourth graders are singing "A Mexican Christmas" so their songs are in Spanish. They are doing a candlelight processional that is traditional, called Posadas. The fifth graders are playing handbells and singing "Good King Wenceslas," the story of the good king who loved to help poor people. (Too bad he is not alive today.)
I think the students are pretty well ready and I am ready to be done, so I can relax for a week before church gets really busy (Sunday the 23rd, three services on Christmas Eve and one on Christmas Day).
How is your run-up to the holidays going?

here, the president suddenly announced that school should end on dec. 15, instead of 21, 22, so the teachers are scrambling to cover a lot of stuff. i don't remember the president meddling like this before. usually, they just announce what the date the first day of the school year is (in june).
i would love to watch all those programs you described.

You will sleep well hopefully when this is all over. I gather you teach at a Christian school? Is it a particular denomination? I'm just curious. I hope the children all do well and that children and adults alike enjoy themselves.
