Our first destination of Malaysia is Batu Caves. We are using train from KL Central Railway to go to Batu Caves station. I kinda forget but I guess less from 3 ringgits per ticket.
Batu Caves is a limestone hill in Selangor, Malaysia. It takes its name from Sungai Batu or in English Stone River. Batu Caves become the most popular destination for Hindi people and sometimes its become Hindu Festival of Thaipusam in Malaysia.
When my friend went to Batu Caves, it was not colorful. Thank God I went to Malaysia in 2 months later. 272 steps were painted in an extraordinary colour scheme by Government. You can see my attachment image. Really beautiful right?
In front stairs I saw a really big and tall statue. When I looking online, I just shock because it is the world’s tallest statue of Murugan, a Hindu deity (42.7m or 140 ft). The statue made of 1550 cubic metres of concrete, 250 tonnes of steels bars and 300 litres of gold paint from Thailand.
Photo and editing by myself.

I have read about this place. It is one of the places that I definitely want to visit if I go to Malaysia. The photo is beautiful and I like the colors a lot.

I can see the colourful steps and the amazing looking Hindu statue. It is interesting what the statue is made from and I am surprised it contains 300 litres of gold from Thailand. I shall be visiting Kuala Lumpur again to make it cheaper to fly from Thailand to Japan. This will be in April 2019. The caves sound a lovely place to visit and the train cost just a little to get there. Is any of it wheelchair accessible?
