This is a photo of me and my great- grandpa. He passed away when I was only 3 years old. Over the years, I have heard all these great stories about him, and what a great man he was. I wish he would have got to stick around longer. Being that I was only 3 when he passed, I don't really remember him. I only have a few photos.
I am grateful that my great grandma (his wife) is still around...she is an amazing lady, a terrific grandmother too.
Do you have great memories of your grandparents? Do you have any that are still around? I don't want to bring any sad or bad memories around, only to share and remind of the good and happy ones!
**Unfortunately the photo doesn't seem to be uploading

Looks like you miss him so much, I am so sorry that he's not around now. In my case I wasn't that close with my grandparents, so no memories to share, however I have heard good stories about them. May they rest in peace.

I do, even though I didn't get to know him for very long. That's kind of like me, for my great-grandpa I mostly have just heard good stories about him. Yes....may they rest in peace

@jvicentevalera Well everyone, and every family is different....but that is great that you love and care about all of the family that you do!

@MommyOfEli2013 It's weird but i wasn't that close to my mom and dad's family. So I just simply love and care about my sibilings, nieces, nephew and parents.

I have many great memories of my grandparents, my great grandma was my favorite as she was old fashioned and loved playing with all the grandchildren she had. It's awesome you still have your great grandma around..I don't have any grandparents left.

I am glad you have many great memories of them, that's always nice to hold onto. That sounds like how my grandma is :)
I am sorry you don't have any grandparents left. That would be rough to go through. I count on mine for a lot (my mom's parents both are still around).

I wish your photo had uploaded.. would love to see it.
Sorry you don't have any memories with him, wish you could.. But glad you still have his wife around to (hopefully) make memories with, especially with having kids.
I only ever knew one of my Great-Grandparents, which is my Great-Grandmother on my moms-moms side. She passed away back in 2006, when I was 14. So I have some memories with her, though most are about the same just a different year (4th of july traditions).. but was an angel, and the glue to our family on that side. And I miss her a lot.
I only knew my Grandparents on my "dads" side when I was a toddler, but I do have a few short memories of them.
As for my moms parents, they were both apart of my life, up until my grandfather passed away in 2010. Now it's just my grandmother.

I will try to edit the photo and see if I can get it up that way. I really wanted to be able to share it!
Thank you, I appreciate that...I wish he would have got to live a longer life but his health took him too soon (he had cancer).
I am sorry you only knew one of your great-grandparents, and that she passed away when you were 14. I am glad you got to know her for longer, though it's not easy losing family at any age.
I'm glad you have a few short memories of your grandparents on your "dad's" side...it seems to be hard to remember things from the toddler ages...
That's good that your other grandparents were in your life longer, I'm sorry your grandfather passed as well, I'm glad you still have your grandmother though
