Christmas Horror Story The Last Christmas

My contribution to the 100 word Xmas story challenge set by @indexer – not one for younger readers. The Last Christmas I heard a gunshot. Mummy said “it’s backfire from the exhausts on Santa’s sleigh.” I doubted reindeer drawn sleighs needed exhaust. Dad popped in at midnight. He was covered in blood and meat. He said “You’re too old for Christmas. God’s dead. So is Saint Nick.” I saw red as Dad threw some animal waste in the bins behind the house. I got a dictionary for Xmas, learning about venison and why we had it instead of turkey. Dad had shot Rudolf out of the sky. We’d eaten the evidence.
