At a young age, she likes the idea of Christmas especially receiving money as a present from her Father. She always has a list of things she wants to buy on every penny she will receive from her Ninong and Ninang (godfather and godmother). And what's important for her is to receive something from her Mother.
Every year she is always looking forward to Christmas because she believes that Christmas is love and that her Family will share the food they prepared for Noche Buena.
And every Christmas, only her and her siblings are the only one will enjoy most of the food served in their table. It's either Mother and Father are arguing or Father leaves the house because of the Mother's nagging mouth.
This is my Christmas Story.

That's a nice story albeit a bit sad. I guess it is based on your reality. It is a shame your mother is so difficult.
