Two days ago, there was news on television about a Junior High School student who challenged a classmate for a fist fight in the comfort room; said incident was caught on camera. The student is a black belter in Taekwondo. I checked on his account on Facebook and he looks so innocent and not harmful. The school is a known private university.
Crimes like kids snatching, robbing houses at night, and worse, taking drugs like methamphetamine and cocaine, are some of the news that are announced in the evening. This is so sad!
But there are some kids who are also victims of police abuse and brutality. One case that was resolved after 2 years of careful investigation is a 17-year old boy shot from behind while kneeling; the policemen who killed him are already in prison.
Maybe the parents of these kids who are bullies should also be given guidance and counselling. Maybe they are proud because their kids can fight and can defend themselves? Maybe, but not to the extent of bullying a smaller kid than him, like the recent case of this boy, who might be expelled from the university.

@ridingbet No matter the reason that made him a bully, he now needs professional assistance.

indeed. maybe the boy has childhood insecurities or psychological problem that is why he is manifesting his anger to the world by bullying others.

@LadyDuck yes, psychiatrist may be one. the news this afternoon stated that he is now expelled from the university. he and his brother are both bullies. his father is a scalawag policeman. if you happen to watch the video, you might get angry at him too.

just few hours ago, my high school classmate shared those 3 videos where this ''kutong-lupa''(elf) bulliied kids bigger than he, as if so proud he is a Taekwondo black belter.
his looks are so deceiving.

@ridingbet yes... And I had seen how angry netizens are when somebody posted her address claiming it was the address of the bully, they had sent bulk orders from Jollibee and McDonald's, and it is Cash on Delivery... And one fb member said, there are more deliveries to come from Amazon and other online shopping sites.
Now, that lady who posted her address is saying that her parents are bothered by those deliveries. She said somebody else posted it but there were witnesses that she was the one who did it. LOL

the university and we, do not tolerate bullying but i really don't know why parents do not advice their kids to not brag about them being experts in the art of self-defense.

yes, Taekwondo as martial arts should only be for self-defense and not to bully others.

junior high is about average for kids to really get bad about bullying-that's the age i remember kids becoming lil jerks when i was growing up-but i do agree in ways they're worse now..but you're not allowed to correct them anymore,so what does society expect with coddled lil brats? they feel they can get away with anything they want now.

based on Erik Erikson's developmental task, the boy is on Industry versus inferiority. maybe he thought he should not be inferior to others that is why he bullied taller kids than him.

It is said that the incident is the third time already.
He is smaller that the other student whom he bullied but he is so boastful and conceited because he is a blackbelter.
I think that this kid has a personality problem. He needs psychiatric help..

yes, i stand corrected. the bully is smaller than the kid he threw punches and kicks at. maybe even his parents should be counselled also.

from what i saw in the video on FB, the bully talked to 2 taller men while they were peeing. then the bully removed his ID strap and punched one tall boy, and kicked him again. the boy had bleeding nose and was crying already. there were 3 other kids who were at the door. i think one of them took the video. surely the bully knew the shooting of the video.
