Ah, vacation time! I don’t have to go back to work until Thursday! Then I can start my countdown to my last day at work. Yahoo!!! Let’s celebrate with some great music, this time by Rock and Roll Hall of Fame legend Bob Seger. Here’s today’s most obvious selection. #3: Night Moves This is the song that introduced the mainstream world to Bob Seger. And yeah, it may be overplayed, but dang what a song. Young people discovering sex is detailed with touch of sad nostalgia. Sure, it was fun then (“I used her, she used me, but neither one cared, we were gettting our share”), but it was pointless (“trying to lose the awkward teenage blues”) lust (“we weren’t in love, oh, no, far from it”). The narrator isn’t very kind to himself (“I was a little too tall, could’ve used a few pounds, tight pants points hardly renown”), but then it was all about discovery.
