A young child is happy that his pet cat for ran away from home and was missing for seven months was located by a concerned citizen who found the cat in their home. The concerned citizen took the missing cat to a local animal shelter after a microchip was found inside the cat who ran away from his new home when his owners moved from their original home. When the mother of the young man showed him that his cat had been returned, the young man wept tears of joy. Cat reunions and their owners are priceless.

i always get misty when i read animals/pets getting abandoned and then are given new homes. i laugh at the dogs' and cats' antics, and i get angry when a dog or a cat is brought back to the shelter, to be euthanized.

A dog or cat that is put down due to lack of room in an animal shelter also breaks my heart.

I am so glad they found the cat. When people move, they should keep their cats inside for many days. Cats need to get the habit to the new house.

@Deepizzaguy My neighbors adopted a kitten two months ago. They are now vacationing one week, the kitten is home alone, a woman comes to feed him. He cries, so I take him inside all the time with me.

You are correct on this matter since moving to a new home is a challenge to anyone.

That is wonderful. Lucky my cat understood we had moved across that ocean from Latvia to the US He had adjusted remarkably well for a cat born and adopted in Latvia. He loves his freedom and spends his time on the roof of this house as my friend calls him the Fiddler of the Roof especially when he sits there and meows but at least he is a happy cat. Couldn't get back to Latvia even if he tries so I am glad he has no such plans.

The kitty and his owner are so happy now. I do not blame the young man for crying tears of joy.
