Our Christmas dinner was a large buffet of a variety of foods. Everyone brought something. If you left the table hungry it was your own fault. There was so many types of food you couldn't help but find something you liked.
There was so much left over that we all got a big container of food to take home with us. Looking at it now, I don't think I will have to cook for the next couple of days.
Today I saw my doctor and she was once again not pleased with my test results. I did what I was supposed to but I guess it is too little too late. One of the things she was most disturbed about was my bad cholesterol results.
Unfortunately it was so high they couldn't get a reading. This comes after I followed the diet to the letter and took all that medication. I don't know what they will do next but, I will be happy if it make that bad cholesterol go down.
Anyway, I was so good on Christmas about eating only what I could that was on my diet. Hopefully they will come up with an idea.
Hope everyone is happy and healthy.

MY cholesterol never responds to diet, I take Crestor which lowers it like crazy.

@HazySue Have you tried Crestor, it works differently than Lipitor and other statins.

@BelleStarr No I haven't. I will have to talk to my doctor. Thanks for the advise.

I've been sick for two days and other half has it now. So we're sleeping a lot.

I sure hope your doc can figure out how to get your cholesterol down. We also had a lot of leftovers from Christmas Eve dinner which we always eat again on Christmas day after opening gifts. Still sent home plates of food and had it again today for lunch. Threw the rest of it away, we're tired of it by now! But thankful to have all that good food.

It is one of the common problems during Christmas, with all the food, etc. on the table; one can forget his diet regimen!

I have a feeling quite a few people will be eating leftover turkey for a few days yet!
